Each year the people of Livonia celebrate the anniversary of the founding of the City
with a week-long birthday party.  Held at Ford Field at the corner of Farmington Road and Lyndon the last full week in June (24 - 29, 2014), Livonia Spree has something for everyone in the family:  delicious food; great music ranging from Country to jazz; a fantastic family carnival; and of course, the Grand Finale Fireworks Extravaganza on Sunday night.

The Men and Women of Spree have been working hard to plan another great year at Spree.  So...ready, set, GO to LIVONIA SPREE.

Shuttle service urged for visitors to Livonia Spree

Road closures and reduced parking spaces may impact visitors to this year’s Livonia Spree celebration at Ford Field at Farmington Road and Lyndon, from Tuesday, June 24, through Sunday, June 29.

Due to the I-96 construction, bridge work and reduced parking spaces at Frost Middle School, it is strongly advised that Spree visitors use the free shuttle service provided at the Civic Center complex near Livonia City Hall.

During the Spree, closed roads will include Lyndon Avenue west of Farmington, and Stark Road north of Schoolcraft.  On Sunday, June 29, Farmington Road will be closed from Five Mile to Schoolcraft at approximately 7 p.m. to accommodate the fireworks display.  Westbound Schoolcraft at Farmington will also be closed on Sunday evening around 7 p.m.

There will also be very limited parking on the Spree grounds accessed off Stark Road north of Schoolcraft.  The Stark Road bridge over I-96 is closed for repairs and will remain closed during Spree, leaving westbound Schoolcraft as the only route to get to Stark Road and parking on the Spree grounds.  Also, westbound Schoolcraft to Stark will be the only available route to get to Frost Middle School and the Livonia Family YCMA during Spree week.
