Livonia Spree Essay Contest

Rules: 

1. Contestants must enter through the Livonia Spree website using the provided form.

2. Contest is open from March 17, 2026 - May 15, 2026. 

3. Contestants must write an original essay with limited guidance from others.

4. Due to the number of entries received, only winners will be contacted with the results.

5. There is no entry fee for this contest.

6. The competition is open to all Livonia residents currently in high school.

7. Contestants may submit only one essay entry during each competition.

8. Essays must address the official contest prompt.

9. Essays must be less than 1,000 words. 

10. Essays must be written in English. 

11. Judging will be completed by a panel of qualified judges.

12. Judges will not discuss or compare essays until all essays have been judged.

13. Relatives of Livonia Anniversary Board and Committee Members are not eligible for this essay competition. 

14. Prize amounts: 1st place - $5,000, 2nd place - $3,000 and 3rd place - $2,000
